connection with the rape of a seven-year old girl in Bharatpur district, police said today.
The man, identified as Preetam, was detained on the basis of information provided by the girl.
He is being questioned to ascertain whether he was involved in the alleged rape which took place on Sunday night in Kaithwada area of Bharatpur, where the girl was attending a marriage with her family.
Meanwhile, the girl was referred to SMS hospital in Jaipur for treatment where her condition is stated to be stable, they added.
