Man gets lifer for uxoricide

A local court here has awarded
life sentence to a 51-year-old man on charges of uxoricide in 2014.
According to prosecution, Samiyannan, a labourer, used to quarrel with his wife Palaniammal as he suspected her fidelity.
Unable to bear the husband's torture, Palaniammal started live separately.
On april 20, 2014, Samiyannan came to his wife's house and asked her to come with him. On her refusal, he stabbed her to death. He was arrested and registered a murder case.
Erode District Mahila Court Judge N Thirunavukkarasu awarded life sentence to Samiyannan yeserday.
