Man's body recovered from canal in J&K

Body of a 32-year-old man was today recovered from Ranbir canal in the outskirts of Jammu city, police said.
The victim was identified as Bodh Raj of Kalri village in Gharota area of the district. He was recovered from Ranbir irrigation canal in Mishriwala area of the city in the morning, SHO Kanachak, Sub-Inspector Rakesh Kumar said.
Raj was missing from the past 5-6 days and a report in this regard was also lodged at Gharota police station by his family members, he said.
Body was sent for postmortem and it will be handed over to the family for last rites after legal formalities, he said.
