Man wanted for robbery, extortion arrested

A 22-year-old man wanted in several cases of extortion, robbery and the Arms act was arrested from RK Puram in south Delhi, police said.
"The accused Vikram Singh alias Janu was arrested from Major Somnath Marg, near Sector 7 in RK Puram while he was riding a stolen motorcycle yesterday," said Chinmoy Biswal, additional DCP(South).
Two stolen motor cycles have been recovered from him.
A team was formed based on spurt in the incidents of motorcycle thefts and street crimes in the RK Puram vicinity, Biswal said.
During interrogation the accused confessed about his involvement in two cases of robbery, extortion and the Arms act and had managed to stay at large, he said.

"Accused Vikram Singh alongwith his associates Sudhir Yadav, Sonu and a woman of the gang were involved in robbery of cash and one Altis Car from Leisure Valley Park in November last year," he said.
In December, Singh along with his accomplices entered a fuel station and filled petrol in their car at gun point, he said.
