Accused Rinku, who hails from Badaun in Uttar Pradesh, has already been to jail in Delhi in connection with three murders and had been released on bail, they said.
After getting bail, he came here three months ago and committed five murders in the period.
Rinku was arrested on Thursday and today presented in the district court which sent him to 14 days judicial custody.
Rinku used to drive rickshaw on the national highway and near the railway station here in the night. He would strangulate passengers on the way and take their valuables.
