Counting of votes for Hiyanglam Assembly bypolls will be held from 8 am tomorrow, Election Commission officials said.
Elections were held for the by-election on October 17 and the main candidates were E Dwijamani (Congress), M Dhanabir (BJP), Th Laiba of Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP), Y Radheshyam (ITC) and M Amutombi of the Manipur Peoples Party (MPP).
The by-election was necessitated due to the death of Maibam Kunjo (Trinamool Congress), a former state information minister, three months ago. Maibam Dhanabir, the BJP candidate, is his eldest son.
