Shooting of the film is expected to commence by October-November and it will hit theatres by March next, film industry sources said.
Manju had in July this year acted in a advertisement film with Amitabh Bachchan fuelling speculation about a comeback.
'Aaran Thamburan' was the last film in which Mohanlal and Manju were paired together and 'Patram' was her last film. She got married to actor Dileep and gave up her film career soon after that.
Manju won the National special jury award for her performance in 'Kannezhuti Pottum Thottu' and the state award in 1996 for the film 'Ee Puzhayum Kadannu', in which she acted opposite Dileep.
