Mant assembly bypolls: Sanjay Lathar chosen SP candidate

"The party had declared Lathar as its candidate for the assembly bypolls," Samajwadi spokesman Rajendra Chowdhury said.

Lathar is also national president of the party's Yuvjan Sabha.

The election was necessitated due to the resignation of RLD leader and MP Jayant Chowdhury, who won from this seat but later resigned.

The bypoll is scheduled on June 12. PTI ABN RAI
