Maoists to observe martyrs' week

The outlaws have put up banners and posters at different places in the district to that effect.

The Maoists observe the martyrs' week every year during which they set up memorials in remote villages in "honour of the deceased Naxals" and organise public meetings and tell the people about Naxal movement and also resort to violent and disruptive activities.

The police said they would beef up security arrangements during the week by deploying additional forces in strategic areas.
