Mary Kom receives award by Gadkari

London Olympic bronze medallist boxer M C Mary Kom has been awarded the 'ONE India award 2013' here by former BJP president Nitin Gadkari.
The fourth edition of the award was given to the star boxer last night at a ceremony where the party's Mumbai unit president Ashish Shelar was also present.
The award, instituted by NGO 'My Home India', is given each year to a person from the region who has contributed to national integration, its convenor Sunil Deodhar said.
The 'ONE' in the award stands for 'Our North East', he added.
Mary Kom expressed her intention of doing her needful for the game.
At present, about 40 promising boxers are being trained under her guidance at M C Mary Kom Regional Boxing Foundation which she runs along with her husband K Olner.
Mary Kom is a mother to six-year-old twin sons and a four-month-old son.
