Maulana Rabey Hasani Nadvi re-elected as president of AIMPLB

Maulana Rabey Hasani Nadvi and Maulana Mohammed Wali Rehman were today re-elected unanimously as president and general secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board at a three-day convention of the organisation here.
"Maulana Rabey Hasani Nadvi and Maulana Mohammed Wali Rehman were unanimously reelected as president and general secretary of All India Muslim Personal Law Board today," Sultan Ahmed, chairman of the reception committee of AIMPLB, told PTI after the end of the first day's session.
On the second day, various resolutions will be adopted and discussions will take place on several issues, Ahmed said.
Discussions on the issue of triple talaq and uniform civil code will also take place in the three-day convention and a line of action will also be adopted.

AIMPLB is an umbrella organisation which has representatives from all Muslim sects, theological schools and religious orders. The body is the highest decision-making body on Muslim personal laws.
