"Mehbooba has expressed anguish over the unfortunate incident in Jammu which resulted in the death of one person. She conveyed her sympathies to the family of the deceased and prayed for peace to the departed soul," the PDP said in a message here.
One person was killed and six others, including two policemen, injured in clashes between police and a group of youth protesting against removal of posters of slain Khalistani leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in the winter capital.
She also called for exercising maximum restraint while dealing with such incidents.
