60-year-old victim, Sarla Singh Sardar was at home when her insane son pounced on her suddenly and strangled her to death yesterday, police said.
The accused son had been under treatment for last four/five years and was kept in shackle at home, sources said.
A police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body, which was brought for post-mortem at M G M hospital here today.
The accused has not yet been arrested as police was yet decide whether to send him to mental hospital.
