At Palam Observatory, the maximum temperature was recorded at 44.4 degrees.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.4 degrees, two notches above the normal, said a Met Department official.
The humidity level in the air oscillated between 23 per cent and 56 per cent.
In what may come as a relief, the weather department has predicted overcast conditions along with the possibility of thunderstorm and dust storm tomorrow.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. There is a likelihood of dust storm/thunder storm towards the evening/night in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 43 degree Celsius and 27 degree Celsius," the official said.
