Minister reviews preparations for Ajmer Urs

Union Minister Ninong Ering today reviewed preparations for the 801st annual Urs at the Dargah of Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer.
The annual event commemorating the death anniversary of the Sufi saint will be organised next month, depending upon the sighting of the moon.
While holding discussions with the officials, the Minister of State for Minority Affairs directed them to ensure all necessary arrangements for Zayarins (pilgrims) visiting the shrine for the religious function.
Ering was briefed by District Collector J K Purohit about arrangements, who informed that around 7 lakh Zayreens are expected to visit the Dargah during the Urs this year.

The meeting was also attended by other district officials and members of the Dargah administration.
