Minor girl gangraped in Jind, five accused arrested

A minor girl was allegedly gangraped by five youths in Singalpura colony of Safeedon town here, following which the accused were arrested today, police said.
In a complaint filed yesterday the victim had alleged she was gangraped by five youths on Thursday, police said.
"The five accused in the case have been arrested. They were identified by the girl. We examined the scene of the crime," Saffedon police station SHO Sajjan Kumar said.
A medical test was conducted on all the accused and they would be produced in a court tomorrow, he said.
In her complaint the girl had alleged that one of her acquaintances named Sanjay alias Bittu called her outside her home on Thursday night where his friend Vikram Karkhana was also waiting with his motorcycle.

The two friends allegedly abducted her to a nearby place where Sanjay raped her as Vikram stood guard, she has alleged in the complaint.

When she headed home after the crime three other youths - Akshay, Hariom and Baljit - chased and caught her, took her to fields and gang-raped her, she has alleged.
When she returned home she narrated the incident to her family members who then informed the police of the crime.
The SHO said they would interrogate the accused and produce him in a court tomorrow.
