Minor raped by juvenile neighbour

A 12-year-old girl was raped allegedly by her juvenile neighbour at his friend's house in Ranhola area of west Delhi, following which the accused has been detained today, police said.
In her statement before the magistrate, the girl, a student of class V, alleged that on Wednesday the accused took her to his friend's house on some pretext and raped her while his friend stood guard outside the room, a senior police officer said.
She told her parents about the incident yesterday. She also alleged that the accused had threatened her of dire consequences if she told anybody about it, the officer said, adding medical examination has confirmed rape.

The girl's father who works as a ground staff in Delhi Metro told police that the accused was not known to her daughter and they were clueless how he could have taken her to his friend's place.
A case under relevant sections of IPC and Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been lodged and efforts are on to nab the accused's friend, police said.
