Miscreants break open businessman's car, flee with Rs 9 lakh

Unidentified miscreants today stole Rs nine lakh from a car parked in the premises of a nationalised bank in the busy Bistupur area under Bistupur police station here, the police said.
The victim, businessman Sunil Agarwal, a resident of Jugsalai here, withdrew the money from the bank and kept in his car before going inside the bank again to meet an official when unidentified miscreants broke a window of the car and decamped with the cash, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jacinta Kerketta said.
An FIR has been lodged in this regard and investigations have been initiated, she said adding, the police were verifying the footage of the CCTV camera installed in the bank.
