"I have issued directions to the Finance department," Munda said in reply to JMM member Stephen Marandi who questioned the chief minister on who was responsible for yesterday's lack of quorum in the House.
"I held a discussion with officials. Funds for development projects, not only under MLAs funds, but also for other projects, will be released within 15 days," Munda, who had been chided by Speaker C P Singh on December 4 for non-release of the MLA local area development funds, said.
Stating that representatives of the Finance Department, Public Accounts Committee and the office of Accountant General met from time to time to sort out problems, he said the AG had approved Rs 7,900 crore out of Rs 8,000 crore in which objections were raised.
Yesterday, there was no quorum in the house till 3:30 pm after which the house was adjourned for the day.
