Monsoon arrives in Bihar and Jharkhand

The conditions are favourable for further advance of the monsoon in remaining parts of Bihar and Jharkhand during the next two to three days, MET Director D C Gupta said.

The districts like Patna, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Ranchi, Supaul, Bhagalpur, Arwal and Munger districts recorded moderate to heavy rainfall, Gupta said, adding that Arwal district registered the highest rainfall at 110 mm.

Ranchi, Jamshedpur airport and Jamshedpur city in neighbouring Jharkhand also registered rains, he said.
