Monsoon keeps temperature pleasant in Himachal

The state capital Shimla recorded 25 mm rains while Mashobra and Kufri had 24 mm of rains, followed by Kotkhai 22 mm, Kasauli 21 mm and Jubbarhatti Airport 20 mm.

Jogindernagar in Mandi received 68 mm of rains while Bhunter, Chelsea, (Shimla) and Dharamsala 42 mm, 40 mm and 39 mm of rains, followed by Bajaura 37 mm, Manali 33 mm, Gaggal 28 mm, Dalhousie 18 mm, Seobagh and Theog 12 mm, Dharampur 11 mm and Una 8 mm.

Una was hottest in the region with maximum temperature at 35.4 deg C while Bhunter and Sundernagar recorded a high of 32.4 deg C and 31.7 deg C, followed by Nahan 29.3 deg C, Dharamshala 28.6 deg C, Solan 28.5 deg C, Kalpa 22.2 deg C and Shimla 21.7 deg C.

Keylong and Kapla, headquarters of twin tribal districts of Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur, recorded minimum temperatures at 14.4 deg C and 13.6 deg C respectively.

The local MeT office has predicted rains or thunderstorm at many places during the next 72 hours and heavy rains at isolated places in lower and mid hills.
