Mother poisons her two kids, attempts suicide

Reeling under financial difficulties, a mother today killed her two children by poisoning and attempted suicide in Nawada village under Gagalhedi police station area here.
Roopa, wife of a labourer, lived in the village with her two children -- Atul (5) and Simran (3). Grappling with financial problems, the woman today fed poison to her children when her husband had went out for work. She later consumed the toxic substance herself also, SSP (Dehat) Jagdish Sharma said.
All three of them were rushed to the district hospital where the young ones died during treatment, whereas the woman was shifted to a hospital after her condition became serious, he said.
