FNR had a joint meeting two weeks ago with the different Naga underground groups, including the three factions of NSCN and the NNC at Chiangmai, in which it deliberated on upholding reconciliation among themselves, FNR Convenor Rev Dr Wati Aier said.
He said Nagas have come a long way in their journey of reconciliation during the last six years and the discussions on reconciliation have been going on in the right direction.
"We have come a long way and we are on the right track," he said, adding that "we are cautiously optimistic that something new is going to happen".
It has been working to bring together the warring factions of the Naga underground groups so as to stop in-fighting between themselves and be united in taking up the common aspirations of the Naga people.
