Nagjee trophy Int Club Football tourney from today

The Sait Nagjee Trophy International Club Football-2016 is all set for a relaunch here today with eight teams from different countries participating in the 15-day tournament.
Brazil's Club, Atletico Paranease will play England's Watford FC in Group-A in the inaugural match at 7.00 pm.
Apart from these two teams, FC Rapid Bucuresti (Romania) and FC Volyn Lutsk (Ukraine) are placed in Group-A. Group-B consists of Argentina U-23, TSV 1860 Munchen (Germany), Shamrock Rovers FC (Ireland) and FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (Ukraine).
The tournament is played on league basis till February 12, in which each team will face the other three times in the group, they said.
Earlier on January 24, Brazilian Football legend Ronaldinho, who is the brand ambassador of the tournament, formally inaugurated the event by handing over the trophy, received from Sait Nagjee's family, to the organisers at a function here.
For the first time in India, eight International club teams from South America and Europe are taking part in the championship, the organisers said.
The Kozhikode District Football Association (KDFA) and Mondilal Sports LLP are hosting the tourney. A UK based charitable Trust, Football for Peace global (FfP) will be the charitable partner along with Aster MIMS in the tournament.
