A National Conference (NC) leader in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir Saturday joined Congress along with his over a dozen associates, a Congress spokesman said.
Chowdhary Mohammad Ali, a senior NC leader from Inderwal, and his associates joined the Congress in presence of the party's state vice president and MLA G M Saroori at Kishtwar, the spokesman said.
Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Saroori said it was heartening that the people in sufficient numbers are becoming part of the Congress and reposing their faith in the party's agenda which aims at bringing peace, development and prosperity in the entire state.
