The banned anti-talk faction of the NDFB has called for the bandh from 5am to 5pm.
Gandhi is scheduled to address an election rally at Biswanath Chariali tomorrow for party candidate Bhupen Kumar Borah for the Tezpur seat.
Sonitpur SP Sanjukta Parasar said adequate security arrangements have been made for Gandhi's visit.
"Sufficient force have been deployed at the place where Rahul will arrive tomorrow. A good number of state police, para-military and Army jawans will be stationed in the entire district," she added.
