"NRI Sabha Punjab (the NGO) had written to the civil aviation authorities to establish help desks for NRIs to furnish information to them about the regions...The Sabha has received a letter from the Directorate of Civil Aviation which has granted permission to us to open help desks at the two airports," NRI Sabha Punjab chief Jasvir Singh Gil said today.
However, Gil did not specify as to when the desks would be established and when would they start functioning.
"This will facilitate NRIs in customs and immigration checks. The ywill also carry information about tourism in Punjab," he said.
