The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) issued notices to Haryana Chief Secretary and District Magistrate of Sonepat to file a report within four weeks, a statement from the Commission said.

The action comes after a media report, forwarded by a complainant, said that the youth's body allegedly remained entangled in the wire for hours after he got electrocuted in Sarswati Vihar in Sonepat district.

"The Commission has observed that the content of the report, if true, raise a serious issue of violation of human rights of the deceased," the statement said.
