In a condolence message, Kumar said that Hangal had ruled the Hindi film industry as a prominent character actor in a career spanning over four decades.
Hangal had an amazing talent of creativity in acting, he said and added that the former's death has caused an irreparable loss to the film industry.
The late actor would be remembered forever for his acting, he said.
