The services of Heritage train Nilgiris Mountain Rail, which was cancelled following a landslip, resumed today after a gap of four days.
The NMR was cancelled on December 15 following a landslip, resulting in big boulders falling onto the track, between Hillgrove and Adrley stations.
Restoration works of rack and pinion system track up to Coonoor was completed yesterday and the Southern Railways announced resumption of the services from today.
Accordingly, the NMR left Mettupalayam near here at 7.10 AM, carrying about 150 passengers, Railway officials said.
The track was clear and the train reached Coonoor around 10.15 AM, they said.
