"We know how to respond befittingly to any aggression from India," General Raheel said, adding that there is no need to worry about anything that India says.
When asked about the security situation in the country, the army chief said, "There had been an improvement and the security situation would further improve in the country. A strategy has been devised in this regard."
He said this during an informal interaction with journalists at a reception by the Speaker of National Assembly after the President's address to the joint session of Parliament.
Reacting strongly to Pakistani Army chief's remarks, India yesterday said Pakistan can keep "harbouring the wrong notions" but that will not make any difference to actual conditions.
"I think this is the notion they will keep harbouring. They can keep harbouring that wrong notion. It will not make any difference to actual conditions," Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh had said.
