West Bengal finance minister Amit Mitra today said that the state sales tax department did not conduct any raid on any business house in the middle of the 'chaotic demonetisation misadventure' by the Centre.
"We are shocked to find reports in a section of the media that sales tax department is carrying out raids on businesses.
This is false and malicious propaganda with the ulterior motive to defame the state. We urge the business houses not to fall prey to such motivated and engineered propsganda", Mitra told PTI.
