"Sayeed and the Norwegian Ambassador discussed several mutually-beneficial projects taken up between India and Norway, especially the one related to Swasthya Slate, a health sector scheme as part of NIPI," an official spokesman said.
He said the chief minister appreciated the transfer of knowledge and technology between the two countries under NIPI and hoped that the scheme will simplify undertaking medical tests, especially benefiting the weaker sections of the society.
A unit has already been established at Sunderbani, in Rajouri district of Jammu region. The registration process has already started and tests are being performed on expectant mothers by using the device.
Swasthya Slate is a bluetooth-enabled tablet, which includes specialised applications that help users perform a variety of screenings and health analysis protocols.
