Donald Trump Junior, the eldest son of US President Donald Trump, today said Trump Organisation will look forward to invest in the city in the future.
"Post 2016 (after Donald Trump became president of United States), we have limited ourselves and we are not doing new international deals and that takes a big part of what we are doing right off the table.
"It has been great to be able to do that, really streamline the company, focus on operations sometimes you need to do that. It has been a fascinating reset. So it has been great to focus on some of our existing assets," said Trump Jr on the sidelines of the launch of Tower B of Trump Towers, developed by Panchshil Realty here in the upscale Kalyaninagar area.
While replying to a question whether he is looking to invest in the city in the future, he said "definitely".
"In the future, we will definitely. When we are able to do it, I will look forward to do it. As I mentioned few times this week, I have spent about 10 years in India looking around and it has taken a few years to get right people. I made all the mistakes you could make and when you end up with partners like Atul (Chordiya), it is just great," he said.
He added that in time, Trump Organisation is looking forward to getting back and building the brand that it has.
"It has been an incredible success. We know the market now intimately. Continue to have success after success. It is unfortunate that we cannot do it right now and for me as a businessman, I know why, but I look forward to continue to build the brand we have," said Trump Jr.
He said that working with Chordiyas has been spectacular.
When asked whether Trump Organisation is looking at investing in India directly, he said, "In times, perhaps. With the partners that we have, I would rather do stuff with them because the level of trust we have is beyond business partnership".
Trump Jr inaugurated Tower B of Trump Towers, the first ready Trump residences in India, developed by Panchashil Group.
Consisting of two striking glass facade towers of 23 stories each, with 46 single-floor 5 BHK residences starting at Rs 15 crore, Trump Towers Pune is crafted in accordance with the design and development standards of the global real estate brand Trump.
Panchshil Realty and the Trump Organisation had entered into a licensing agreement to develop Trump Towers Pune, where the Trump Organisation has lent its brand to Panchshil Realty.
