Nova IVI Fertility (NIF) plans to quadruple its number of centres to over 40 to offer advanced assisted reproductive technology (ART) in partnership with IVI of Spain.
"We are looking at expansion to grow to over 40 centres in tier II and III cities soon from the present 11 centres to meet the growing demand of fertility treatment in the country. We have already invested over Rs 250 crore in our operations," NIF Fertility Consultant Richa Jagtap told PTI here.
NIF currently operates 11 fertility centres, one centre each in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Surat and two centers in Bangalore.
NIF aims to bring advanced assisted reproductive technology (ART) to India in partnership with IVI of Spain.
"We have introduced the MACS (Magnetic Activated Cell Sorting) technology in the fertility segment in the country. It is a sperm selection technique which has led to the very first successful MACS fertilisation in Maharashtra.
"MACS is a new technology, which helps segregate healthier sperms with more intact DNA in chromosomes, with the help of a special magnetic field," Jagtap said.
Formed in 2011, NIF is a partnership between Nova and IVI of Spain. IVI is one of the largest IVF group in the world and a leader in reproductive medicine with 39 centres across 10 countries in Europe and South America.
