Kalra, 59, is Principal Professor of Medicine, Head of Division of Nephrology, University College of Medical Sciences (University of Delhi) and G.T.B. Hospital in Delhi.
Kalra's appointment will be for a period of three years or till he attains the age of 68 years whichever is earlier with effect from the date he assumes the charge of his office, an official release said here today.
