Lata Manoj Kumar, a 2000-batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, emerged as first choice to probe high profile Sheena Bora murder case. Kumar, who joined CBI last year in April, has been chosen for Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
N M Singh, DIG with Special Task Force of the CBI, is a direct recruit to the agency who is handling complex corruption case involving a Noida Engineer. Singh has been chosen for President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
Other officers chosen for President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service include Joint Director Anurag Garg, Additional SPs S S Kishore and Sanjay Kewalkrishan Sareen and Deputy SP Sandip Ghosh.
