Qadir minced no words in stating that the selectors had done injustice to some leading players.
"If the team has been picked on basis of performances in the current first class season than keeping senior players like Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal out of the team is insulting them," Qadir, who has also worked as a former chief selector, said.
"I don't see balance in the side. For one I don't understand on what ground have the selectors picked Ehsan Adil and Sohail Khan and it is injustice with other players," he felt.
"Experience is vital in Australia and New Zealand and Malik and Akmal have been performing very well in recent matches and they are in form. And to ignore a big talent like Razzaq is beyond comprehension," he said.
"I wish this team the best of luck but in my honest opinion I don't see someone like Haris Sohail succeeding in a mega event like the World Cup. The selection of Ehsan Adil is also very questionable."
"I don't see why Asad doesn't make the squad because presently he is the most technically sound batsman in Pakistan."
"Dropping Asad could prove to be a big mistake on part of the selectors."
Qadir however was satisfied with the selection of leg spinner Yasir Shah in the squad.
"It is a good move to have two leg spinners in Afridi and Shah in the squad when we are missing the services of Saeed Ajmal and Hafeez as spinners," he added.
