"Pakistani drug smuggler Fotia intruded into India to supply heroin to Jakab alias Jakia on April 10. He crossed the border in broad day light at 1 pm and returned to his country after delivering the heroin. This was disclosed by the five accused during interrogation," SP Jaisalmer Rajiv Pachar said.
After the revelation, Jakia was taken to the same spot near the border in Barmer for verification in the presence of police, ATS and BSF officials, he said, adding that the drug was to be smuggled to Kolkata.
The interrogation also revealed that the accused Kunda had seen Jakab while receiving the delivery of the heroin and had threatened to inform police. But he decided to side with Jakab once the latter offered him partneship in the deal, police added.
