The miscreants attacked and injured a few passengers who resisted and robbed several passengers of B-1 and B-2 AC coaches at around 2 am.
The miscreants decamped after pulling the emergency chain, the sources said.
The passengers agitated when the train arrived at Jasidih station and the train was detained for nearly an hour till 3.15 am, they said.
FIR was lodged by Kamlesh Kumar Gupta and seven others at Jasidih station, after which the train restarted its journey towards Howrah station.
