PM's UK visit to give boost to trade and investment:GP Hinduja

Leading NRI businessman G P Hinduja has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the UK this week will give boost to the trade and investment between the two countries.
Speaking at a Diwali celebrations hosted by the Hinduja brothers here last night, he said that Prime Minister Modi's visit would give "a boost to the bilateral trade and investment between India and the UK."
Several high-profile figures, including heads of diplomatic missions, members of House of Lords and the Commons, attended the Diwali celebrations.
S P Hinduja and G P Hinduja, Chairman and Co-Chairman respectively of the Hinduja Group along with their brothers Geneva-based Prakash and India-based Ashok received the guests at the gaily lit Carlton House terrace residence of the Hindujas.
Prime Minister David Cameron sent a message through Rt Hon Letwin in which he recalled the "immense contribution" of Hindujs, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists to the British economy.
India's High Commissioner to the UK Ranjan Mathai, Russian Ambassador Alexander Vladimirovich Yakovenko, Spanish Ambassador Ferico Trillo, Ugandan High Commissioner Prof Joyce Kauramtsi Kiafunda attended the reception.
Cherry Blair, wife of former Prime Minister Tony Blair, Rt Hon Oliver Letwin MP, Britain's Cabinet Office Minister, Jo Johnson, MP, Minister of State for Universities and Science, Baroness Sandip Verma, Parliamentary undersecretary of state for Energy and Climate Change, the Rt Hon Keith Vaz, MP, Chairman of the Home Affairs committee, Lord Karan Bilimoria, Lord Meghnad Desai, Lord Navnit Dholakia, Lord Khalid Hameed were prominent among those present.
