Prakash Parishwad, 22, booked under Goa Children's Act, tried to flee the hospital yesterday while he was taken there for medical checkup, escorted by constables -- Videsh Madkaikar and Sunil Gaude -- attached to India Reserve Batallion.
"While boarding the vehicle, accused threw some powder, which he had collected from a toilet in hospital, on the constables and ran away. One of the constables immediately chased him and caught him," Police spokesperson said today.
The department has announced reward for Madkaikar and Gaude for their alertness.
