Police lathi charge, several injured

The incident took place when the activists and leaders of the JVM were agitating at Birsa Chowk, a short distance from the state assembly, in support of a charter of demands.

The agitation was announced recently by JVM president and Lok Sabha MP Babulal Marandi to put pressure on the Arjun Munda government on a charter of demands, including addressing the long-standing displacement issue.
