Police also recovered body of Jugraj Singh after digging up a toilet in his house. The deceased's daughter Paramjit Kaur identified the body.
On receiving information from the village chowkidar on June 23 that Jugraj, who went missing in October last year, was murdered by his son Randeep Singh, police took him into custody.
Randeep confessed that he had murdered his father by poisoning him and later giving him electric shocks. He dumped the body in the toilet pit of the house, police said.
Jugraj Singh owned five acres of land out of which he had given 1.75 acres to his married daughter Paramjit. Randeep did not like it and poisoned his father to death, police said.
Police has registered a case of murder and of destroying evidence against Randeep.
