Temple officials said Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Dr S Sundararaj and Transport Minister Senthil Balaji organised the '1008 kalassa pooja' and abhisekam (celestial bath).
The Ministers said the special pooja was performed for Jayalalithaa's victory in her appeal in Karnataka High Court challenging her conviction in the disproportionate assets case and her becoming chief minister again.
The abhishekam was performed using honey, ghee, milk, sandalwood paste and tender coconut.
On the occasion, several AIADMK workers prayed for Jayalalithaa to become chief minister again.
The Karnataka HIgh Court has reserved its orders on the appeal of Jayalalithaa challenging the conviction and four year jail term awarded by a special court in September last year in the assets case.
