Prez poll: Karat meets Bardhan

Karat met Bardhan at the CPI office and discussed the recent developments with regard to the Presidential polls, sources in the Left parties said.

The meeting came against the backdrop of Trinamool Congress and Samajwadi Party coming out with three choices-- Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former president A P J Abdul Kalam and former Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee for the President's post.

Left parties will be meeting on June 21 to fine-tune their strategy.
