Prof Bamezai completes tenure as VC of SMVDU

As per the statutes of the University, Governor N N Vohra, who is Chancellor of the University, has constituted a Search Committee headed by Dr S S Bloeria, Vice Chancellor of the Central University, Jammu, to recommend a panel of candidates for selection of a successor.

The selection process is at an advanced stage and the new Vice Chancellor of SMVDU is likely to take over shortly.

In the meantime, to run the affairs of the University, the Chancellor has directed his Principal Secretary Navin K Choudhary to officiate as the Vice Chancellor of the University with Prof M L Garg, School of Computer Sciences and Engineering, functioning as Coordinator, to help the officiating VC in dealing with Academic issues, till the new Vice Chancellor takes over.
