Rajasthan Chief Election Officer Ashok Jain said the department has identified 1,625 critical polling booths where arrangements for webcasting of polling in upcoming Lok Sabha elections will be put in place.
He said this arrangement is for effectively monitoring the polling process at such booths so that incidents like booth capturing or influencing the voting process can be checked.

The officer said the use of technology and new methods would help in bringing transparency in the elections.
Polling for the LS elections in 25 constituencies in Rajasthan will take place on two days.
The first polling day in the state on April 17 will cover 20 Lok Sabha constituencies while the remaining five constituencies will go to polls on April 24.
