Rajagopal Dhar Chakraborty takes over as new IISWBM director

Rajagopal Dhar Chakraborty today took over as the new director of Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management.

Chakraborty, who was earlier the Registrar of Calcutta University, said he got the letter from state higher education department about the new posting at Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM) yesterday.

He had joined the university as professor of economics in 1989 and became the registrar in April last year. He was also the head of the department of South and South-East Asian Studies.

Soma Bandopadhyay was earlier the Director of IISWBM, which is affiliated to CU.
