Revenue official suspended for dereliction of duty

Suspension order of Amarchand, posted in Lokra village in Pataudi area here, was issued by Deputy Commissioner P C Meena during a meeting of district grievances committee, officials said.

The official had been accused of not doing demarcation of the land owned by a villager despite repeated requests, they said, adding that disciplinary proceedings have also been initiated against him.

Meanwhile on complaint by a flat owner regarding denial of timely possession by a private developer, state's chief parliamentary secretary Prahlad Singh Gillakhera asked officials to take necessary action in this regard.

On reports that some builders were violating the approved construction plan by constructing additional floors in their apartments, Gillakhera said the matter should be brought to the knowledge of town and country planning department so that appropriate can be taken.
